While most outside shootings have been cancelled due to rain, the shooting of 3 Idiots recreate in Telugu and Tamil have been dropped for different other reasons. The diary for both Tamil and Telugu which was supposed to start on December 6, 2010, has been hit severely due to a recession of stars. First, it was Vijay who pulled out of the project citing date clashes with his other movie Velayudham.
Now, sources inform that Telugu actor Mahesh Babu, who was chosen for the lead role in the Telugu version, has walked away from the project as well. With the lead actors of both versions pulling out, the shooting has been cancelled.
