Kushboo is in town. The actress, who was holidaying in London, returned Chennai on Friday morning. But this time with more joy and enthusiasm, thanks to a Supreme Court verdict quashing cases against her for her comments on premarital sex.
Meanwhile, the actress has been roped in by Bollywood director Revathy Varma to act opposite Amitabh Bachchan in a Hindi film titled 'Mad Dad'. Kushboo will play the Big B's wife in the movie about the relationship between a father and his daughter.
The 39-year-old actress, who had already expressed her willingness to join politics (especially the Congress), said, "As someone who grew-up in a strongly Congress family, I have a lot of affinity for the party. I had posters of Rajiv Gandhi in my bedroom when I was a small girl."
On the apex court verdict, she said, "It was a hard fight. But I knew I would win since I was speaking the truth. I will continue to speak my mind. I know my responsibilities since I am the mother of two girl children."
